Methodology
The MCT Terra and the Sapur were applied by spraying to the soil, at doses of 2L/ha and 5L/ha, respectively. The ‘Control’ plot was treated with Vydate 10G, a systemic chemical nematicide for application in the soil before or during the planting of the crop. This demonstration aimed primarily to compare these two products with nematicidal effects, in order to replace the chemical product in the control of nematodes.
According to the nematological analyses carried out before planting and treatments, it was possible to ascertain that the ‘Treated’ plot had not only a greater presence of nematodes related to the appearance of diseases in carrots but also its history tends to have lower productivity due to this fact, than the ‘Control’ plot.
Several forms of recording were carried out: photographic, laboratory nematological analyses, and sampling of carrots for weighing (3 repetitions of 2.1m2 each, per treatment).

Results and Discussion
After completing the trial, no visual differences were observed between plots, indicating that the combination MCT Terra + Sapur helped the plant overcome the presence of nematodes without harming vegetative growth.
After the end of the crop cycle, nematological analyses were repeated and it was found that in the Treated plot there were non-parasitic nematodes and, although parasitic nematodes were still present, they were significantly reduced.
It can then be concluded that the combination MCT Terra and Sapur had a nematicidal effect, but did not harm the soil fauna, contributing to greater biodiversity in the soil.

Regarding production, and excluding defective carrots, it is noted that there was no significant difference between the plots (only 1% higher in the Control plot). Furthermore, in the Treated plot, a lower percentage of defective carrots was obtained.
In conclusion, the combination of the products MCT Terra and Sapur present a great potential for replacing chemical products, protecting the nematode culture, without causing significant production breaks and, in addition to being zero waste, allow for the maintenance of soil biodiversity.
