Methodology
Between January 31 and February 21, weekly, the number of inflorescences and set fruits in each treatment was counted. Between February 25 and May 24, every 3/4 days, strawberries were harvested and weighed, from a total area of 15m2/plot. On each harvest day, the ºBrix of the fruits was evaluated.
Results and Discussion
According to the results, the number of fruiting bodies in the first month was significantly higher in the treated plants (+35.4%), compared to the control. As a result, higher production was also observed in the treated plants (24.4 t/ha) compared to the Control (20.4 t/ha), corresponding to an increase of 19.54% in production.
Treated - Photographic record of the day 21/02/2022, at 15m from the line.
Control - Photographic record of the day 21/02/2022, at 15m from the line.
Results obtained.
Conclusion
According to the results, the number of fruiting bodies in the first month was significantly higher in the treated plants (+35.4%), compared to the control. As a result, higher production was also observed in the treated plants (24.4 t/ha) compared to the Control (20.4 t/ha), corresponding to an increase of 19.54% in production.
Another positive aspect is that the increase in production quality was not compromised in terms of ºBrix and was even better in the treated line, being on average 8.7% higher than in the control. We can conclude that the application of Breakout and Vitol induces an increase in production and improves the ºBrix, and consequently improves the profitability of the agricultural operation.
