Micronutrient corrector based on manganese (Mn). The manganese (Mn) present in soils is primarily derived from the decomposition of ferromanganese rocks. In the lithosphere, its average content is 1000 ppm, but in soils, the total levels vary between 200 and 300 ppm. However, it can only be considered as an indication of its availability to plants, as there are many factors that affect absorption.
The main minerals in which Mn is a component are: pyrolusite, braunite, hausmannite, and manganite. In smaller proportions, it also becomes part of primary minerals such as olivine, biotite, and hornblende. In general, forms of Mn are insoluble at high pH, which favors higher valence states. In contrast, at low pH and oxygen tensions, they form soluble forms, primarily divalent.
