Sthenos is a complexed calcium suspension-emulsion and other compounds with photoprotective potential. Developed to protect fruits from sun exposure, on the surface of the fruit, it works by blocking, absorbing, and attenuating the effect of solar radiation through the use of organic sunscreens and antioxidants.
Sthenos reduces oxidative damage and the surface temperature of the fruit, decreasing the risk of losses due to sun damage in production, quality at harvest, and post-harvest. The synergistic effect of calcium provides greater stability to cell walls, increases the crop's tolerance to biotic/abiotic stress (thermal, water) and reduces the occurrence of physiopathies associated with calcium deficiency in fruits.
